ARTICLES AND REPORTS
Chris has written and co-authored many articles, and has both led and participated in various group projects, Steering Committees, and Advisory Boards focusing on healthcare issues in Canada including:

  • sanofi-aventis Healthcare Survey
    Chris was invited to join the Advisory Board in 2003. Since 1998, the Survey has polled over 18,000 Canadian benefit plan members on their views and perceptions of their healthcare plans. Chris has been the principal writer of the report since 2004.
  • Submission to the Romanow Commission – CCIH
    As Chair of the Canadian Council on Integrated Healthcare, Chris played an active role in developing the CCIH submission to the Commission, and was invited to make a brief presentation to the Commission in April 2002.
  • Canadian Healthcare Manager - By the Numbers
    Chris collaborated with John Yardley, Director of Brock University’s Workplace Health Research Laboratory to describe the evidence, numbers and policy needs related to workplace health.
  • Profits and Patients
    Canadian Healthcare Manager magazine gathered a group of leading thinkers to examine a wide range of issues concerning the role of the private sector in Canada’s healthcare system.
  • Measuring and Managing the Health Cost Dilemma
    Chris worked with the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) to measure the health cost burden at four school boards, and wrote this lead article in one of OTIP’s client publications.
  • Raising the Value of Corporate Health
    Chris was one of the early proponents of comprehensive health strategies and programs in Canadian workplaces, and advocated a new role for insurance companies and others in the measurement and management of plan member health.
